Software Engineer - II (Sr.Backend Engineer)

About Genuin:

For members of Gen Z who love group chats and want to learn and grow, Genuin is a social app that allows its users to host and participate in async group conversations using video.

Unlike Discord, Genuin is super easy to use, features a vetted content library tailored to Gen Z, and allows its users to customize their community experience.  We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Director to oversee all marketing and user acquisition efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience building a social network or community-based consumer app, experience with the Gen-Z audience.

  2. Jobs: 🗣 Create video content that attracts job seekers and builds an engaging hiring culture.
  3. Team Alignment: 💬Create private video groups with your team members and reduce your time on Zoom meetings. Easily stay up-to-date with your team and keep video trails of all activities.
Network: 🌐Learn from like-minded individuals, upskill, mentor, and grow your network with industry experts. 


Eligibility 

  1. Minimum 5 year of experience working as a full time employee in any software company. 
  2. Minimum 2 year of experience working with Python & NodeJs. Strong proficiency within this language.
  3. Must have worked in product company in the past.

What will you be doing?
  1. Own and drive the development of new features. 
  2. Participate in the design and development of Genuin’s backend platform.
  3. Troubleshoot production defects and performance issues. 
  4. Write reusable code/modules. 
  5. Optimize for speed of development/delivery. 
  6. Collaborate with frontend developers for integration. 

Requirements and qualifications: 
  1. Have conceptual clarity on fundamental knowledge of any object-oriented programming language. 
  2. Knowledge of other programming languages like Node JS. & React.
  3. Familiarity with database technologies such as RDBMS or NoSQL. Preferable Mongo DB. & Postgresql.
  4. Able to understand the business requirements and can prepare the documentation for team.
  5. Familiarity with Jira,Bitbucket,Aws. 
  6. Self-motivated and results-oriented
  7. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
